    Iran's export of steel increases from March 21, 2019 until February 19, 2020

    (MENAFN) As said in a report by IRNA, Iran's export of steel has increased 28 percent through the 11-month period from March 21, 2019 until February 19, 2020 in comparison with the past year.


    In the 11-month period from March 21, 2019 until February 19, 2020, Iran exported 6.5 million tons of steel, according to the report.


    Although in early May 2019, the U.S. imposed new sanctions on Iran targeting Iran's metals sector, not only did not the new round of sanctions hinder Iranian steel sector, this industry has preserved its expansion trend as well, as said in the report released by World Steel Association (WSA) and Iranian organizations.


    In January, Iran's crude steel output has grown 46.7 percent while the international average expansion rate reached 2.1 percent, according to a report released by the WSA.
