Iran's gross domestic product register positive growth rate

(MENAFN) According to the governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI), in the first 9 months of the recent Iranian calendar year, Iran's gross domestic product, not including the oil sector, has made a positive expansion rate of 1.3 percent.

Abdolnasser Hemmati said that, "total non-oil economic growth for the first nine months has reached 1.3 percent. We all hope that as soon as we overcome the COVID-19 [outbreak], we will see continued production boom and positive economic growth."

Iran's economic performance shows that regardless of maximum pressure forced by the US sanctions, Iran's economy has made good results in the framework of the production boom strategy made by the leader of the Islamic Revolution, as said by Hemmati.

In the 3rd quarter of the year, non-oil economic expansion reached 3.3 percent and economic expansion with oil was 1.2 percent, according to CBI statistical reports.
