    CPI rate in Emirate of Dubai drop by 1.20 percent in February 2020

    (MENAFN) Figures issued by Dubai Statistics Centre, DSC showed that, in comparison with February 2019, the yearly Consumer Price Index, CPI, rate in the Emirate of Dubai decreased by 1.20 percent in February 2020.


    The drop in the CPI was caused by the fall in prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by an amount of 5.21 percent, causing inflation to drop by 2.21 percent, as said in the DSC monthly report.


    The clothing and footwear group dropped by 3.21 percent, while recreation and culture group fell by 0.98 percent while miscellaneous goods and services group decreased by 0.38 percent and the health services group as well dropped 0.01 percent.


    CPI of the transportation group increased by 5.11 percent increasing the inflation rate by 0.53 percent, while the food and beverages group rose by 2.38 percent, according to the report.
