Qatar Stock Exchange snaps 4 days of bullish run, its key index lost about 1 percent
(MENAFN) Yesterday, the Qatar Stock Exchange ended 4 days of an increase and its key index missed about 1 percent, mostly caused by industrials and real estate equities.
The 20-stock Qatar Index settled 85 points lower at 8,576.59 points after the rise net selling pressure from local and non-Qatari retail investors caused an increase.
In the first 15 minutes of opening, the index had touched a low 8,452 points after which it turned to a high of 8,750 points, about 30 minutes to close, but last minute income booking pressure made the market steady at 8,577 points.
The bourse was affected by foreign funds' weakened net buying, as it dropped 17.73 percent year-to-date.
