    Turkey's daily electricity usage increases to 859,917 megawatt-hours

    (MENAFN) Official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) informed that, Turkey's daily electricity usage rose by 1.71 percent to 859,917 megawatt-hours on Thursday.


    According to data from TEIAS, hourly power usage increased at 15:00 local time with 40,224 megawatt-hours; Turkey's electricity usage fell to its lowest level of 29,167 megawatt-hours at 05:00 local time.


    In comparison with Wednesday, total electricity production stood at 854,038 megawatt-hours on Thursday with a 1.56 percent rise; most of the output came from hydroelectricity at 226,264 megawatt-hours.


    Imported coal and wind followed respectively with 174,457 megawatt-hours and 106,601 megawatt-hours; on Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports totaled 2,961 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted at 8,840 megawatt-hours.
