    Iran: USD23.9 billion allocated to support economy

    (MENAFN) According to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Iran has allocated USD23.9 billion to uphold the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic.

    Hassan Rouhani said that, "we allocated the sum to protect economy against huge losses."


    Around USD3 billion has been given to the health sector and USD1.2 billion as a fund to cover the joblessness costs, as he said.


    Rouhani added that, about USD17.8 billion will be given in low-interest loans to the businesses and USD1.9 billion will be paid in cash handouts to low-income families.
