    Consumer prices increase 11.86 percent in March: Turkey

    (MENAFN) According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), consumer prices in Turkey increased 11.86 percent in March in comparison with the same month in 2019.


    TurkStat said that, the yearly inflation rate in March decreased from 12.37 percent the earlier month.


    The maximum price increase last month was seen in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, climbing 40.19 percent every year; communication recorded the lowest yearly rise with 2.52 percent in March.


    Consumer prices in Turkey are likely to increase 18.81 percent year-on-year.
