Turkey to pay 60 percent of staff salaries for period of 3 months

(MENAFN) Turkey has taken measures to cushion the economic outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic to protect both employers and employees.

Any company forced out of business because of a Force Majeure, like the pandemic, can approach the government.

The government will provide 60 percent of the employees' salaries for a period of 3 months.

With this short-term employment allowance, the government will make direct transfers, within the ranges of USD260 to USD650 in the employees' bank accounts directly; the government will also pay for their health insurance during the period.
