    Jordan: trade deficit drops to JOD587.7 million in 2020

    (MENAFN) As said in the Department of Statistics (DoS) monthly report on foreign trade, the trade deficit decreased to JOD587.7 million, or 23.2 percent in January this year, in comparison with January 2019.


    The report informed that the worth of total exports in January this year totaled JOD500 million, a rise of 18.3 percent in comparison with January 2019.


    The report added that, the worth of national exports during January, 2020 reached JOD433.8 million, a climb of 20.6 percent, in comparison with January 2019, while the worth of re-exports stood at JOD66.2 million during January, 2020, a rise of 4.7 percent in comparison with the same period 2019.


    In comparison with the same period 2019, the imports' worth totaled JOD1087.7 million during January, 2020, a drop of 8.5 percent.
