    Production of crude steel in Iran rises 14.1 percent in March

    (MENAFN) According to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) quoting a report by World Steel Association (WSA), in March of this year, production of crude steel in Iran has increased 14.1 percent in comparison with March 2019.

    According to the WSA's report which is about steel production by 64 countries, in March, Iran's steel output stood at more than 2.8 million tons.

    Crude steel production by the 64 producers has decreased 1.3 percent during Q1 of 2020 from the same time period in 2019, as the report said.

    The report added that, production by China fell 1.7 percent in March, while increasing 1.2 percent in Q1 on a yearly basis.
