    Turkish exports drop 4 percent in January-March period

    (MENAFN) According to Turkey's statistical authority, Turkish exports dropped 4 percent yearly in January-March period to stand at USD42.7 billion, while imports grew by 10.3 percent to reach USD55.6 billion.

    The foreign trade deficit rose by 117.3 percent in the first 3 months of the year, as said by TurkStat.

    It added that, "in January-March 2020 period, the foreign trade deficit was USD12.9 billion with a 117.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year".

    Exports coverage imports were 76.8 percent in the same period, while it was 88.2 percent in January-March last year.
