    Over COVID-19 concerns, Turk Eximbank receives USD 678M syndicated loan

    (MENAFN) According to a statement issued Friday by Turkey's trade minister, a USD 678 million were given to Turk Eximbank as a syndication loan to help in the overcoming of the economic disaster caused by the pandemic of the novel coronavirus.

    In a tweet, the minister, Ruhsar Pekcan said that "The syndicated loan is a strong indicator of international markets' confidence in the Turkish economy and its banks."

    Pekcan further stressed that the Turkish government will maintain to financially support its exporters amid the pandemic, and that she expect that this reserve is allocated for exporters' economic needs.

    Based on information mentioned in a written declaration by the bank, the latest syndicated facility has been jointly participated by International lenders in 10 different nations from the EU, America, the Far East, and Gulf region.
