    Tehran posts 9 percent increase in houses prices

    The Ministry of Transport and Urban Development's planning and economic affairs department in Iran published a report saying that the prices of houses in Tehran, the capital of Iran, saw a rise of 9 percent in the second month of the Iranian calendar year (April 20-May 20).

    The IRNA said that the report showed that the one square meter of a house average prices stood at USD4,204 in Tehram, which shows a 9 percent increase that the average prices in the earlier months.

    The number of real estate deals has also increased 9 percent in the cited month compared to a month ago, as it has dropped 6 percent compared to the same month a year ago.

    The prices of houses in the capital has declined two percent in the starting month of the ongoing Iranian year (March 20-April 19).
