(MENAFN) By the end of the third three-month period of the 2019/2020 fiscal year, the collection of investments held by Egyptian Life Takaful Insurance Company (GIG) has amounted to nearly 622 million Egyptian pounds (which equals USD 39.2 million).

On Thursday, Amwal Al Ghad, a momentum website located in Cairo, quoted GIG's managing director Rimah Asaad as saying "We plan to increase our investments to about 800 million pounds at the end of next June."

Asaad's statement further noted that the investment portfolio of the GIG in the Egyptian market concentrates on banking deposits, as well public debt mechanisms, together with treasury bills and bonds in addition to some landed property investments.
