    Saudi Arabia vouches for 500m USD to aid Yemen

    As reported by the Saudi Press Agency, the kingdom pledged on Tuesday, June 2nd, 500 million U.S. dollars for Yemen.

    The Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Abdullah Al Rabeeah, said the plan at the virtual Yemen High-Level Pledging Conference 2020 that is prearranged by Saudi Arabia in partnership with the United Nations.

    He said that 300 million dollars will be assigned to the UN agencies and the rest to the center's Yemen-related projects.

    In the meantime, the Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud requested the international community to pressurize the Houthi militias to permit the UN officials to enter the Safer oil tanker.
