    10.7 percent decline in Jordanian Q1 tourism revenue

    The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) released data on Monday saying that the torusim revenues in the country have dropped 10.7 percent in the starting quarter of the current year 2020 to set at USD1105.80 after posting an expansion rate of 13.6 percent in the starting two months of the current year.

    Data released by the bank which was cited by Jordan News Agency, Petra, showed that the revenues of tourism declined 56.5 percent in Jordan in March alone.
    The drop is predicted to increase in the starting seven months of the ongoing year 2020.

    Jordan is expected to see an improvement in the last quarter of the year, given that the epidemiological situation on the local and regional levels keeps showing improvement, the bank said.
