    Jordanian banks won't defer June loan installments: CJB

    Ziad Fariz, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ), said that banks are not going to defer the loan installments in June for their clients as they did in the earlier three months.

    The official said that the individuals who have been harshly affected by the coronavirus economic fallout can submit applications in order to defer installments on their loans in June.

    Clients who have submitted applications to defer loans installments are not going to pay more fees or moratory interests, as it is not going to impact their credit rating, the measures are going to remain in effect until the end of 2020.

    He also said that interested clients need to go to their banks in order to make the necessary arrangements, and they are going to be needed to submit documents to prove that they have been impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.
