    Credit Oman reports upsurge in insured sales, credit ceilings

    Export Credit Guarantee Agency of Oman (Credit Oman) demonstrated an upsurge in the total value of the volume of insured sales and approved credit ceilings for local and global sales during the first quarter of 2020 compared to the first three months of 2019.

    Credit Oman highlighted that the total value of insured sales hit OMR23,123,000 (about 60 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 5.96 percent during the first three months of 2020 compared to OMR21,821,000 (about 56 million dollars) during the same period of 2019.

    The value of insured sales of the Sultanate's exports to the countries of the world during the first quarter of 2020 came into OMR17,943,000 (about 46 million U.S. dollars) however, the value of insured local sales within the Sultanate stood at OMR5,179,000 (about 13 million U.S. dollars).

    Credit Oman also stated that the total value of credit ceilings approved for local and foreign sales during the first quarter of 2020 hit OMR112,094,000 (about 291 million U.S. dollars), an increase of 30.18 percent, compared to OMR86,105,000 (about 223 million U.S. dollars) during the same period in 2019.
