Fuel lack strikes Yemen's Houthi-held capital
(MENAFN) On Sunday June 21 local authorities and residents stated that most fuel positions in the Yemeni Houthi-held capital Sanaa ran dry subsequent to a two-week lack of petroleum across the city.
Merely some fuel pumps are providing petrol and diesel for motor vehicles lining up in long wait in lines.
The Houthi local controlled authority's mentioned that rebel cluster charged the fuel lack on the Saudi-led military alliance forces, stating that they are obstructing the admission of oil tanks into Hodeidah, a salvation port on the Red Sea.
The Houthi-run al-Masirah television stated that "The coalition has been blocking the entry of oil tanks carrying 420 tons of petrol and diesel for 90 days despite that the tanks had been given clearance by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism for Yemen,".
