Energy Ministry calls on government bodies to decrease power expenditure
(MENAFN) Spokesman of Iran's electricity sector stated that government organizations and agencies account for almost 4,000 megawatts (MW) of the country's electricity expenditure and they require reducing this figure by at smallest amount of 10 percent.
Mehr News Agency accounted that Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi pointed referring to the Energy Ministry's center on optimizing the electricity expenditure of offices and decision-making bodies in recent years to the air conditioning systems as one of the most significant expenditure factors of the stated bodies in the summer.
Mostafa Rajabi stated that of the country's entire 57,000 MW of electricity expenditure in the summer period, concerning 22,000 MW is consumed by air conditioning and air cooling systems.
Mashhadi called on the consumers in the stated sectors to administer their expenditure by placing the warmth in a way that prevents force waste.
