    Turkish Cargo's world market split increase s to 5 percent

    (MENAFN) Turkish Cargo is a part of Turkey's standard carrier Turkish Airlines, has increased its market split to 5 percent throughout the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

    Turkish Cargo stated citing to World Air Cargo Data for May that it moved one out of all 20 air deliveries, in spite of reduction of 28.5 percent in the worldwide air freight market because of the pandemic.

    Turkish Cargo stated that "During the course of the pandemic with its acute effects on a global scale, the global air cargo market experienced a severe shrinkage, decreasing by 18percent in January-May, but Turkish Cargo did not see any loss of tonnage on a year-on-year basis, and acted as a global bridge, preventing the interruption of the international supply chain,".

    Having supplied overhaul to 90 straight cargo destinations through its freighters with high-tonnage capability, Turkish Cargo as well utilized 32 wide-body passenger aircraft of Turkish Airlines throughout its procedures to over 60 destinations counting London, Moscow, Oslo, Shanghai, Bangkok, Doha, New York and Casablanca.
