    India, Iran debate growth of trade relations in new sectors

    (MENAFN) In this conference, ways of evolving relations in areas such as rail and road transportation, in addition to the development of regional collaboration with countries like Afghanistan and Uzbekistan were discussed.

    The persistence of preferential trade talks, holding the fourth conference of the two countries' Joint Economic Committee, firming relations between the two countries' chambers of commerce, and diversification of export and import baskets were also among the issues debated by the administrators.

    The two sides also highlighted the guideline of barter trade between the two countries.
    Zadboum for his part demanded easing of the activities of Iranian trades in India, while Dharmendra voiced India's pledge to strengthening and evolving relations with Iran.

    The ambassador pointed out that the present year marks the 70th anniversary of the renewal of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
