Iranian profile industry amounts to USD 1b annually
(MENAFN) The Iranian pipe and profile industry has a year-on-year export capability of USD one billion which could be chiefly useful for the country"s financial system in the current circumstances, according to a statement issued Amir Hossein Kaveh, the head of Iranian Syndicate of Steel Pipe and Profile Manufacturers.
IRNA news agency quoted Kaveh as announcing Monday that "Iran's pipe and profile industry exports to at least 17 countries around the world, but due to the problems regarding the supply of raw materials and the skyrocketing prices in the market, the export of pipes and profiles is halted."
The descending export tendency is also chiefly contributed by the quota for steel sheets, the official revealed.
He further stressed that the Iranian government has to pay special consideration for the said industry by enhancing the related policies.
