    Gas stations indebted to pay VAT

    (MENAFN) On Sunday July 19 IRNA recorded that Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA), in its newest correction of the country's tax laws, has indebted fuel station owners to match to the Value-Added Tax (VAT) laws.Mohammad Masihistated that INTA's deputy for tax incomes, all fuel stations (both oil and gas products) with any quantity of sales or profits from products and services are called on to stand by the VAT rules as of the beginning of the prersent Iranian agenda year 1399 (March 20).A value-added tax, recognized in some countries as a merchandise and services tax (GST), is a type of tax that is charged incrementally. It is levied on the price of a merchandise or service at each stage of manufacture, allocation, or sale to the end customer if the eventual buyer is a business that gathers and pays to the government VAT on its products or services, it can retrieve the tax paid it is alike to and is frequently evaluated to a sales tax.Omid- Ali Parsa the INTA head stated that Iran's tax revenue has increased 31 percent in the past Iranian agenda year (ended on March 19), .
