    European bank's assets in Turkey near 1 Billion USD in first half

    (MENAFN) The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's (EBRD) savings in Turkey attained approximately 1 billion USD in the first half of 2020, the climax period of the pandemic.

    On Wednesday July 22 the bank stated in a press release that the EBRD quickly met the obligations of rising economies to undertake the pandemic's effects.

    The bank invested in Turkish lenders Denizbank, QNB Finansbank, Yapi Kredi, Garanti and Akbank throughout the first half of 2020.

    The EBRD stated that the country's energy and logistic sectors as well profited from the bank's investing in excess of the same period.
