    Turkey is influencing the G20 digital economy ministers to undertake the matter of digital safety for social media stages.

    The new hacking of prestigious Twitter accounts, Mustafa Varank, Turkey's technology and industry minister stated in his speech at the virtual G20 Digital Economy Ministers meeting this week that "clearly shows that global technology giants can be an enormous problem,".

    In the face of a variety of reasons "to use these accounts to spread global disorder, we should put this issue on our agenda," Varank stated that the closed-door assembly in comments out late Thursday.

    Last week, numerous well-known Twitter accounts were hacked, together with fake "requests" for Bitcoin contributions from the established accounts of former US President Barack Obama, Elon Musk tech mogul, and Joe Biden US presidential contender, among others.
