    Iran, Iraq start trade again through Shalamcheh boundary

    (MENAFN) On Sunday August 9 Mehr news agency accounted quoting an Iranian provincial official that Iran and Iraq started again trade throughout Shalamcheh boundary.

    Seyed Ali Mousavi stated that "Today, the international border of Shalamcheh was reopened and traders of the two countries resumed their activities.".


    Mousavi declared that exports of non-oil merchandise, counting foodstuffs, fruits, vegetables, and meat, in addition to technical and engineering services, started again at this border on July 6, according to an accord attained with the Iraqi side.

    Mousavi also added that 21,000 tons of non-oil merchandise value 95 million USD exported to Iraq after resuming of Shalamcheh boundary on July 9, subsequent to a four-month blackout because of the pandemic of coronavirus.
