    North Yaran oilfield boosts production with new SRP established

    (MENAFN) On Monday August 10 Shana accounted the head of the field's development project stated that the manufacture capability of Iran's North Yaran oil field has enlarged by at least 500 barrels per day (bpd) subsequent to the setting up of the first Sucker Rod Pump (SRP) in one of the wells of this field.

    Mohammad-Ali Ajdari head of the North Yaran development project at Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) stated that following the setting up of the first Electrical submersible pumps (ESP) in this field a year ago, the first SRP has as well been established in a trial process almost a month ago.

    Ajdari stated that "The performance of the pump was evaluated against the characteristics provided by the manufacturer and considering the production conditions of the reservoir and the well, and the 72-hour test with a flow rate of 750 barrels per day was approved,".

    Ajdari stated that the cleanness and ease of setting up and removal, the long life of the pump and its high power competence for lower strengths and manufacture flows, in addition to low maintenance costs and lower capital costs contrasted to other methods of spilling more than are some of the principal advantages of these pumps.
