United States verifies capture of 1 million barrels of Iranian oil
(MENAFN) On Friday August 14 The United States verified that it held more than one million barrels of Iranian oil from four tankers heading for Venezuela.
The Justice Department stated that the capture of Iranian fuel was the biggest ever recorded; alleging that it was sent by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a United States-assigned terrorist group, the oil is currently in United States supervision.
The actions come following United States District Court Judge Jeb Boasberg issued an order to seize goods on board the Luna, Pandi, Bering and Bella.
United States President Donald Trump stated that the vessels are also in transit or have previously arrived in Houston, Texas, a main United States oil terminal.
