    Turkey trade sales quantity contracts 0.8 percent in June

    (MENAFN) On Friday August 14 the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) declared that Turkey's retail sales volume with constant prices dropped 0.8 percent yearly in June.

    TurkStat stated that "In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 3.0percent,".

    Not counting automotive fuel, non-food sales dropped 2.8 percent, whereas automotive fuel trades tripped 0.9 percent more than the same period.

    In the middle of non-food items, the quantity of computers, books, and telecommunications equipment sales increased 2.5 percent on a yearly foundation in June; it was chased by electronic commodities and furniture sales, rising 1.3 percent throughout the same period.
