    Red meat production increases 19 percent in a month on year

    (MENAFN) IRNA accounted that Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) declared that production of red meat in Iran placed at 36,200 tons in the fourth month of the present Iranian agenda year (June 21-July 21), illustrating 19 percent enlargement contrasted to the same month in the past year.

    The SCI's account stated that beef and animal protein had the lion's share in the country's red meat production throughout the fourth month with 20,400 tons, pursued by lamb and mutton with 12,400 tons, and red meat from other livestock with 709 tons.

    The SCI accounted that produce of red meat in Iran placed at 30,400 tons in the third month of the present Iranian agenda year (May 21-June 20), representation of 39 percent enlargement contrasted to the same month in the past year.

    The SCI's account stated that beef and animal protein had the lion's share (56.4 percent) in the country's red meat production throughout the third month with 17,200 tons, pursued by lamb and mutton by 10,500 tons, goat meat with 2,100 tons, and red meat from additional livestock with 623 tons.
