    Turkish economy slanders 9.9 percent in second quarter

    (MENAFN) On Monday August 31 the country's statistical authority declared that Turkey's economy bonded 9.9 percent yearly in the second quarter of this year.

    The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) stated that gross domestic product (GDP) at present costs amounted to 1.04 trillion Turkish liras (153.18 billion USD) in the April-June phase.

    Throughout the second quarter of the year, numerous economies counting Turkey featured economic difficulties because of the procedures to stalk the Coronavirus pandemic, such as lockdowns and travel limitations.

    The institute stated that "Seasonally and calendar adjusted GDP with chain linked volume index decreased by 11 percent compared with previous quarter,".
