Iran rising as local electricity center by coordinating network with neighbors
(MENAFN) As one of the main players in West Asia's energy market, Iran is at the present budding as a chief electricity center in the region as the country is subsequent to a complete diagram for synchronizing its power network with the neighboring countries.
Iraq was the first neighbor whose national electrical energy network was harmonized with the Islamic Republic's power network back in November 2019, and at the present the Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian has declared that the electricity networks of Russia and Azerbaijan are the next in line for flattering linked with the Iranian network in the pending months.
On Friday September 11 Ardakanian stated to IRNA that "Within the next few months, the study project of synchronization of the electricity networks of Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia will be completed and then the executive operations will begin,".
The minister stated that there are two potential roads for the harmonization of Iran and Russia's power networks, one of which is during Armenia and Georgia and the additional is throughout Azerbaijan.
