    Turkey looks at additional assets as of South Korean firms

    (MENAFN) On Tuesday September 22 the Turkish trade minister stated that Besides increasing mutual trade quantity, Turkey observes more investments by South Korean companies.

    Ruhsar Pekcan was addressing at the virtual Turkey-Korea Business and Investment Conference Forum categorized by Turkey's Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

    Pekcan stated that "We expect concrete steps from Korea to develop bilateral trade ties with a win-win principle, in a balanced and sustainable manner,".

    The minister stated that mutual trade quantity linking Turkey and South Korea was approximately 6.7 billion USD in 2019, Pecan stated as well indicating the trade gap to the disadvantage of Turkey that "Trade deficit for Turkey, despite a free trade agreement (FTA), is not sustainable,".
