Turkish Vakifbank employs Chinese Yuan in contracts
(MENAFN) Beneath a swap accord marked between the central banks of Turkey and China, the Turkish state lender Vakifbank and Chinese private lender ICBC Turkey made their first dealings in local money, Chinese Yuan.
Abdi Serdar Ustunsalih the Vakifbank CEO stated that "As Vakifbank, we are taking concrete steps to finance foreign trade in local currency, which is one of the strategic priorities of our economy management,".
Abdi Serdar Ustunsalih stated that "We provide our customers engaging in foreign trade with China with the opportunity to make their payments in Chinese yuan,".
Turkey and China realized more than 21 billion USD trade quantities in 2019, Ustunsalih reminded, adding up that there is a severe possible in trading in local currencies.
