    Iran-Iraq yearly trade to increase to USD20B

    (MENAFN)The two countries’ yearly trade will improved to USD20 billion, declared Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian, who is the head of the Iran-Iraq Join Economic Committee, on Tuesday.

    According to IRIB, Ardakanian made the remarks in the inaugurating ceremony of both countries’ fourth Joint Economic Committee assembly in Tehran, which he co-chaired with the Iraqi Trade Minister Alla Ahmed Al-Jubouri.

    He further said that, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to support the export of Iranian engineering and technical services to Iraq by establishing a joint investment fund,” adding that new will be signed amid both countries in the fields of water and energy.

    “We are ready to implement the previous agreements in the fields of electricity, gas, and water, and to formulate new agreements in this field in order to develop cooperation between the two countries,” emphasizing the development of transportation lines amid both countries as an important factor in the development of trade ties amid both countries.
