    Price of houses in Tehran increases in 10th Iranian month

    (MENAFN)The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) reported that housing price in Tehran city increased 1.8 percent in the tenth Iranian calendar month (December 21, 2020-January 19, 2021), from its last month.

    The CBI’s report set the average price for one square meter of a residential unit at 273.9 million rials (about USD6, 521) in the capital city in the tenth month of the current year, increased 98.3 percent from the number for the stated period in the last year.

    The number of real estate agreements has improved 37.6 percent in Tehran in the tenth month of the year, in comparison to the ninth month, while it dropped 67.1 percent compared to the last of same time of span.

    The deputy managing director of Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) for economic studies, Javad Fallah stated that “we will soon see the issuance of standard housing salaf bonds in the capital market to help financing in the housing sector and construction of new housing units in the country.”
