Turkey's economic growth for 2020 to increase to 1.9 percent

(MENAFN)US-based multinational banking and financial services company JP Morgan increased its expectation for Turkey's economic enlargement for the previous year from 1.1 percent to 1.9 percent.

In spite of suppression measures such as lockdowns, domestic demand was pliant in the fourth quarter of the last year, declared a data released by the firm.

It further stated that the Turkish economy's enlargement figures always "surprises to the upside," showing the strength and flexibility of the Turkish private sector.

The report stressed it was not surprising that Turkey surpassed its peers among the novel Coronavirus pandemic, highlighting the country's experience in handling crises in previous years.
