(MENAFN)Iranian Agriculture Minister Kazem Khavazi highlighted require for development of relations with the UNs Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for conveying the countrys agricultural needs.

Khavazi stated that Developing Iran's interactions with the FAO is essential for meeting the needs of the agricultural sector, according to IRNA.

The official remarked during a ceremony took place for introducing the countrys new ambassador and permanent officials to the organization.

Masoud Zare was selected as the countrys new envoy to FAO, who was before the deputy head of Agricultural Research Education and Extension Organization (AREEO).
