    Dubai: passenger numbers on airport decrease by 70 percent

    (MENAFN)According to the operator, passenger numbers at the Middle East’s busiest airport, Dubai International, had dropped by 70 percent to 25.9 million previous year as the Coronavirus pandemic affected on the travel industry.

    Measures at the airport that works as the center for Emirates airline were decreased for numerous months under government travel decisions before Dubai reopened to abroad visitors in July.

    The industry estimates it will last for long time years to return to its normal situation, with restrictions across the world remain affecting on the demand globally.

    State-owned Dubai Airports stated that Dubai International managed 183,993 flights in the previous year, decreased 51.4 percent, while the average number of passengers per flights dropped 20.3 percent to 188.
