    Saudi Arabia to discuss way after bad year in energy history in online assembly

    (MENAFN)Leaders of the global energy industry are going to meet in an online assembly managed by the International Energy Forum (IEF) in Riyadh to talk about the way forward after the most tumultuous year in energy history.

    According to a report from the IEF ahead of the 11th symposium on energy outlooks, which obtains the International Energy Agency (IEA), the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), in addition to gas and renewable industry bodies that “The COVID-19 pandemic impact on energy demand and supply balances is unparalleled in the history of energy markets.”

    It further stated that “The structural energy policy and market shifts that COVID-19 brings shall influence future energy supply and demand modelled in long-term scenarios.”

    The IEF’s remit is to ease discussion amid the energy producers, mainly introduced by OPEC, and consumers under the auspices of IEA.
