    Turkey’s foreign trade deficit drops 32.8 percent

    (MENAFN)According to the country’s statistical authority, Turkey’s foreign trade deficit fell 32.8 percent annual in January.

    TurkStat further stated that the number dropped to USD3.34 billion from USD4.51 billion in the same period preceding year.

    According the latest data, Exports increased 2.3 percent on a yearly basis to stand at USD15.45 billion in January, while imports decreased 5.9 percent to USD18.79 billion.

    The exports-to-imports coverage ratio improved to 83.2 percent in January, increased from 76.5 percent in same month last year.
