    Turkey posts 17 percent increase in export of fishery products

    (MENAFN)The head of Fisheries and Animal Products Sector Board of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) stated that Turkey recorded 17 percent annual increase in export of fishery products this February standing at USD99 million.

    Anadolu Agency stated that exports in the January-February period improved 14 percent in comparison with the previous year same time span.

    He further stated that "This amounted to USD200 million. Turkey exported 37,000 tons of fishery products in the first two months of 2021, up 8 percent by volume from the same period last year."

    Turkey exported most to Russia with USD28 million, followed by Italy with USD25 million, Japan with USD19.9 million, the Netherlands with USD19.3 million, and the UK with USD17 million.
