OECD estimates Turkish economy to increase to 5.9 percent in 2021

(MENAFN)The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) increased its expectations for its global economic growth to 1.4 percentage points for the current year.

According to OECD’s recent Interim Economic Outlook, the world economy is estimated to incraese by 5.6 percent for 2021.

The outlook for global expansion would improve more than current estimations if the production and sharing of vaccines speed up as containment measures will be relaxed faster.

It further declared that "World output is expected to reach pre-pandemic levels by mid-2021 but much will depend on the race between vaccines and emerging variants of the virus."
