    Iran: Value of non-oil trade reaches USD73 B in 2020

    (MENAFN)According to the head of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the worth of Iran’s non-oil trade reached USD73 billion in the last Iranian year.

    Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi further declared that the weight of non-oil trade stood at 146.4 million tons, adding that the number represents a 25-million-ton annual decrease, which is the result of sanctions and Coronavirus pandemic.

    He also stated that Iran’s non-oil export came on at 112 million tons worth USD34.5 billion, and that of import stood at 34.4 million tons valued at USD38.5 billion in the previous year.

    Mir-Ashrafi declared that amid the country’s non-oil export destinations, China recorded the first, with importing worth USD8.9 billion amount of products, Iraq was the second with importing USD7.3 billion, the UAE the third with importing USD4.6 billion, Turkey the fourth with importing USD2.5 billion, and Afghanistan the fifth with importing USD2.2 billion, he mentioned gasoline, natural gas, polyethylene, propane, and pistachio as Iran’s major exported products in the previous year.
