    Turkey's Treasury to repay debts valued at USD17B

    (MENAFN)Turkey's Treasury is going to refund debts valued at 141.1 billion Turkish liras (over USD17 billion) in April-June period.

    According to the Treasury and Finance Ministry, it is going to reimburse 19.3 billion Turkish liras (USD2.3 billion) in external debts with 8.2 billion liras (USD1 billion) in interest payments.

    About 121.9 billion Turkish liras (around USD15 billion) of domestic debt redemption is also estimated – with 22.8 billion liras (USD2.8 billion) in interest payments and the rest in principal payment.

    The treasury is going to borrow 130.8 billion Turkish liras (USD15.9 billion) from domestic markets amid April and June period, based on the ministry’s borrowing strategy.
