    Turkey records 16.19 percent annual rise in consumer prices in March

    (MENAFN)According to the country’s statistical authority, Turkey recorded a 16.19 percent yearly increase in consumer prices in last month.

    The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported that the yearly number improved by 0.58 percentage points in March, increasing from 15.61 percent in February.

    The maximum yearly price rise in March was in transportation with 24.85 percent, followed by furnishings, household equipment and miscellaneous goods, services with 23.64 percent and 21.49 percent, respectively.

    The institute declared that the lowest yearly boost, stood at 2.87 percent in alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
