Egypt to improve quality of services offered to tourists

(MENAFN)Egypt applied minimum room volumes for 4-star and 5-star hotels as it plans to develop the quality of services offered to tourists.

Al Arabiya quoted Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani as saying that guests at 4-star hotels must be charged more than USD25 per person per night, as 5-star hotels must charge USD40 or more.

The decision is planned to be applied from November 1, 2021.

Egypt’s tourism revenues dropped by about 69 percent in 2020 as international travel was hit by the Coronavirus pandemic.
