    Turkey's aquaculture exports reach USD1B in 2020 for 1st time

    (MENAFN)Anadolu Agency quoted data from the country's statistical authority as saying that Turkey's aquaculture exports reached over USD1 billion for the first time 2020.

    The country's exports of fishes, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic invertebrates remained to drop in 2020.

    The country's aquaculture exports stood at USD744.56 million in 2016, USD797.25 million in 2017, USD879.59 million in 2018, USD962.23 million in 2019 and more than USD1 billion in 2020.

    The country's aquaculture imports stood at USD143.1 million in 2020.

    The major destination of Turkish aquaculture exports were the Netherlands with USD133.08 million, followed by Russia with USD131.9 million, Italy with USD121.45 million and Greece with USD81.24 million.
