    Turkey imposes restrictions to limit spread of Coronavirus

    (MENAFN)The tourism sector in Turkey aimed to decrease the number of cases and open the door for tourists to visit by the current Coronavirus pandemic.

    Firuz Baglikaya, the head of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) stated that "We hope to enter the summer season as a country with a reduced number of cases and this will positively affect the tourism movements during the summer season." He added that "All our wish is not to lose more lives by reaching effective results as soon as possible in our fight against the virus."

    Turkey is going to impose a full lockdown from Thursday until May 17 to limit the spread of the virus, according to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

    Russia’s tourism sector is pending the resumption of charter flights to and from Turkey on June 1.
